This Caucasian Shirvan kilim combines a fine weave with diverse colors incorporating no fewer than three reds and blues each, as well as gold and greens. Rows of graphic latch-hook diamonds are interspersed with narrower bands of stripes, simple diamonds, and colorful crenelations. Against small portions of ivory on either side, several small embellishments have been carefully embroidered.
