Using diverse color and a fine weave, this yellow ground Marasali prayer rug draws an assortment of flowering plants arranged within an over-all lattice in the classic east Caucasian manner. Chevrons and diamonds are formed across the field with the use of white and red creating an extra level of contrast and design. Stylized 'boteh' paisleys of the distinctive Marasali variety are drawn throughout the border as well as the 'mihrab' niche using saturated madder red, green, and several blues.
