Afshar Bag

This is a very colorful example of a complete Afshar bag. The intricate flatwoven closing system is still intact at the top as are the multi colored bindings attaching the bagface to its striped kilim back. The field seems to be a particularly well spaced geometricized rendering of the classic Persian ‘Herati pattern’.
