Arab Baluch rug

This is one of my favorite Baluch rugs in the Whitfield collection. I am very big on quality of color and I find many Baluch rugs to be too subdued. The saturation of brick red, the medium blue borders, the beautiful shade of undyed camel’s wool in the field…… It is also in wonderful condition I look for individuality and freedom of expression in the design, and I love the little bits of folk art you can find, a person, and couple of what might be samovars.
