Bessarabian kilim

Kilims from often Eastern Europe display a charming stylized floral design, whereas Kilims to the south in Turkey are almost exclusively geometric. These village workshop weavers don’t hesitate to attempt curvilinear designs, often resulting in a wonderfully rug.
