SOLD – Banded Textile

Diné weavers created banded-style blankets for use, trade, or sale, and they continue to create them today. Natural grey, white, and brown color designs can be read visually as half-chevron bands separated by a line, creating a “feather” design. They also appear as individual slanted rhombus designs. Different shades of red yarns are incorporated throughout the textile, resulting in waves of shading rather than easily noticeable blocks of different red yarns.
