Bidjar rug

A rare white field amplifies the elegance of this classic Persian Bidjar rug. ‘Harshang’ palmettes are drawn in a single column and are flanked by smaller floral elements with an emphasis on space. Jewel tones of medium blue, rose and gold illustrate rose blossoms and Persian palmettes, each linked and repeated to form distinct but complimentary borders. Despite its delicate sensibility, this piece has the hardy depressed-warp construction for which Bidjar carpets are renowned.
