This elegant Bidjar runner draws a column of alternating traditional Persian medallions in red and white against a deep indigo ground. Tracery ornament against the field emanating from the medallions takes the form of the traditional Persian “Herati pattern”. An oscillating leaf and rosette border against a madder-red ground frame the composition.
