This elegant Twill Weave textile is deceptively complex. Most Diné weavers utilize a tapestry weave technique, weaving a single warp and weft together. Twill weaves can require more weaving heddles and wefts, more yarn, incredible concentration, and counting skills. The weaver who created this textile has two main designs: a horizontal and a vertical twill weave style design. The design is well-proportioned and cohesive, creating a sense of order, balance, and harmony.
