Frank Stella was likely drawn to this textile for its edge-to-edge composition, similar to his painting preferences. The weaver divides the overall design into four horizontal quadrants: two larger fields in the middle of the textile, and two smaller fields in the outer portions. These four quadrants appear as an all-over design holistically, but by separating them, the weaver creates movement and opticality, the signature quality of an Eyedazzler textile.
