Fereghan

A classic, multi-colored “Herati” design drawn delicately in small scale repeats against the indigo ground of this central Persian Fereghan carpet. Among the jewel-like foliage, small white floral bursts are accented throughout giving depth and contrast to the all-over pattern. The piece is framed by a narrow border, which is drawn with stylized Persian palmettes against an almost translucent classic Persian pistachio-green ground.
