Fereghan Sarouk

This exceptional over-sized Fereghan Sarouk combines crisp drawing and courtly scale with rich saturated natural color. A refined sense of balance is conveyed by joining larger geometric motifs, almost architectural in scale, with fine networks of blossoming vine-scroll. This sense is heightened by a masterful use of color. While a smaller ivory medallion illuminates the center of the larger deep indigo central medallion, indigo star-bursts accented by rose and green add depth to the shapely ivory corner-pieces.
