Kurd bag

This complete Kurdish bag was woven in northwest Persia as half of a khorjin. The field of the pile face uses the latch-hooks in diamonds pattern known in similar pieces attributed to the Jaf Kurds. The scale of the pattern in this case is smaller than most of the type and this adds to the jewel-like quality of the individual diamonds.
