Northwest Persian runner

Woven with a white field using an over-all repeat lattice, this Northwest Persian runner almost looks like a large saddle-bag— drawing on the rich color and distinctive patterns of Kurdish weaving. Stylized trees with flowering plants drawn in the main border are matched by the small rosettes and meandering floral scroll of the guards. Each works perfectly to frame the more geometric evocative pattern of the field.
