Oushak

This pleasing Turkish Oushak carpet paints a rustic rendition of a classic medallion format. Soft wool is complemented by soft color using prominent creams and beige with accents in gold and coral. Whimsical palmettes and plant forms are drawn throughout. Of particular merit is the drawing of the main border which playfully integrates traces of a lattice interspersed with idiosyncratically rendered stylized blossoms.
