Peking

This elegant Chinese carpet was woven in Beijing in the early 20th century. Against a spacious shimmering ivory field, small clusters of garlands and potted plants are elegantly drawn. A deep blue border frames the piece encompassing similar floral motifs in a nascent Deco style.
