Senneh Kilim

Senneh kilims are some of the finest woven Persian flatweaves and are renowned for their extraordinary detailing. This exceptional piece is woven on a silk foundation with a distinct quilted texture. In keeping with the tastes of the late Qajar era, a central medallion matched by similar corner-pieces is adorned with ‘gol-i farnag’ or ‘Western style roses’ in a composition that melds Persian color with French imperial style.
