Dated 1230 (c. 1815), this rug is part of a very rare group. Note that the mihrab (prayer arch) is rounded, which you rarely see after the 1st quarter of the 19th century. The extremely fine weave facilitates great detail in the drawing. It has a wonderfully saturated gold background, a great green, and approximately 14 colors overall.
