This beautiful French tapestry fragment paints a verdure, or garden scene, using exceptional skill to draw naturalistic foliage with shadowing and perspective. As a pair of parrots watch from the trees, two horsemen dressed in Oriental regalia hunt in a French 18th century garden manicured in the manner of those of the Palace of Versailles.
