Derbend long rug

Woven with a rainbow of color including an exceptionally pleasing light aubergine, this long Caucasian corridor carpet draws rows of repeat abstracted floral motifs derived from 18th century Northwest Persian ‘afshan design’. Soft colors radiate against a poly-chromatic blue ground. The main border adds a sense of movement complementing the more static field.
