Luri kilim

This highly graphic kilim spaciously paints a central column of three joined diamonds against a deep saturated rose ground. This distinctive palette with a more sophisticated sense of tone than most pieces of the genre is indicative of older pieces from the late nineteenth century. These colors combined with the spaciousness of drawing provide for an aesthetic very reminiscent of Qashqhai pile ‘gabehs’.
