Transcaucasian runner

A wonderful folky five-medallion carpet with a chocolate brown field (switching occasionally to indigo blue), and enlivened by charming representations of animals and large flowers. The folksiness carries over to the simple but bold and richly-colored ornament of the main border which is highlighted against the ivory background.
